KANTHA QUILTS

Every Kantha quilt, throw and blanket here is one of a kind, and no two are ever the same. They differ in stitch, weight, colour and pattern. Some have a fine stitch, others have a medium one. Some are lightweight, others are heavier. Many carry patches and raw edges that give each piece its own character.

The name Kantha means "patched cloth". It refers both to the tradition behind these blankets, turning discarded and unused fabric into something useful and beautiful, and to the running stitch that holds them together.

We hand pick every piece and work closely with our suppliers, keeping our batches small. That lets us photograph each quilt in detail and measure it on arrival, so you can see the true colours, the details and the size before you choose. Because each one is unique, each is priced individually.
